Science Fiction has always been close to my heart. Not in any kind of weird medical way where oxygen is infused via ancient books via the aorta, or some overly intense Science Fiction club way - if you know what I mean - but great writers writing about fascinating topics. It's where your imagination can run free, and come up with terrible puns. And I seem to enjoy combining these with broken detectives. SF and Hard boiled. I never knew it was a genre.
Joshua Richards, P.I., has a problem. His clients are dying. What's even more worrying is that they appear to be planning to kill him first. As he delves deeper into the cases he's confronted with a past he never knew he had. In a desperate and dying alternate Earth, Joshua is in a race to uncover who he once was, and to make one single, simple decision that will either wipe out an entire race or destroy Earth and the very fabric of time and space itself.
I Love Lucid
Who Killed Elizabeth Penbury?
"dark, intense, funny, gritty, stupid and profound."
Two men on opposing sides of the law seeking redemption. A woman who loves them both but can save only one. Ten days of drama. Ten days that changed the world.
Evan Waugh is not the best of cops and is on his last chance before being shown the door. Seth-the creator of Lucid, a cutting edge immersive video game-is a man bent on revenge on his former employer, Odyssey, who has stolen his creation. The two are brought together by a hospitalised girl, Ellen Heart.
Lucid, is where they all meet in a cocktail of drugs, sex, violence, and greed. There are no more good guys. And, possibly, nothing is real. A novel for the dubstep generation.
So what is it all about, really?
- It’s about redemption.
- It’s about the nature of reality and memory.
- It’s a love story.
- It’s about sex, drugs, parties and violence.
- It’s about dreams.
- It’s about right and wrong, and good and bad.
- And betrayal.
